San Diego River Bike Path to temporarily close March 26th – April 3rd

The bicycle path north on the San Diego River, between the West Mission Bay Drive Bridge, and Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Bridge, will be temporarily closed to the public beginning Friday, March 26th through Saturday, April 3rd. This temporary closure will facilitate the removal of large steel beam girders, as well as saw cutting of the concrete deck from the existing bridge. This material will be removed with heavy machinery, which bikers and pedestrians are encouraged to steer clear of as much as possible. The material will be moved to a proper staging area for hauling and recycling.
