Solana Beach Smart Cycling Road Session II

Registration is closed for this event
The Smart Cycling Program is a great opportunity to learn how to ride your bike safely! League-Certified instructors will share their wealth of knowledge and make sure you leave feeling comfortable riding on the road and in traffic.

The Smart Cycling Road Session is for students who have completed the Classroom Session. It includes (1) parking lot drills where you will increase your bike handling skills and learn some emergency maneuvers to avoid motor vehicle collisions and (2) riding on a variety of local streets and bike paths while practicing proper lane positioning and performing safe and legal turning maneuvers.  League Certified Instructors have extensive commuting, touring, group and club riding experience. All levels of experience will benefit from this program.

This is the first time the class is held in Solana Beach and the road session will highlight local Solana Beach roads. This class is free with a Go By Bike grant from SANDAG. More about the events from this grant can be found at http://bikewalksolana.org.

The road session is free. Lunch will be provided and a free taillight will be awarded to all graduates. The session, lunch and taillights are provided with support from a SANDAG Go By Bike grant.
