This is a great opportunity to learn how to ride your bike safely! League of American Bicyclists Certified instructors will share their wealth of knowledge and make sure you leave feeling comfortable riding on the road and in traffic. All levels of experience will benefit from this program.

Get ready to ride your bike!

The Smart Cycling Road Session is for students who have completed the Classroom Session. It includes (1) parking lot drills where you will increase your bike handling skills and learn some emergency maneuvers to avoid motor vehicle collisions and (2) riding on a variety of local streets and bike paths while practicing proper lane positioning and performing safe and legal turning maneuvers.  League Certified Instructors have extensive commuting, touring, group and club riding experience. All levels of experience will benefit from this program.

Please bring your own helmet, bike, packed lunch or money to buy lunch because your instructor will stop for lunch during the day.

All participants that complete the classroom and road sessions will receive a free bike helmet and light courtesy of the California Office of Traffic Safety.
