On behalf of the Bike Coalition, thank you for your continued support and attending our 2021 Annual meeting and elections. Ebike Safety is here!

We’re all about ebikes and we want to make sure that ebike riders know how and where to ride safely. Check out our resources by clicking the button below. We have a city cycling class just for ebikers and we also offer free ebike safety assemblies to all schools in San Diego County.

Join us for CicloSDias in Pacific Beach for a FREE open streets celebration!

Enjoy car-free streets for 2.5 miles along with  thousands of active transportation users and enthusiasts who are expected to attend this city-wide community celebration. No registration is required. It’s open to anyone who wants to bike, walk, stroll, roll or skate. People of all ages and abilities are welcome, pets too! (on leashes of course!) Activities will include special promotions and festivities from local businesses and family oriented entertainment.

The Jim Krause Memorial Charity Bicycle Ride of Point Loma is a ride in memory of our Point Loma Rotary fellow Jim Krause who unfortunately passed away 2012 from pancreatic cancer. We are putting this event together to raise awareness and funds to research and hopefully one day, a cure.

Our year end giving campaign begins on Giving Tuesday! Help us start off the campaign by making a contribution to the SDCBC on November 30th. If we can raise $15,000 by December 31st our funds will be matched by the Outride Foundation.

Will is a lifelong cyclist who is committed to building sustainable communities that run on bicycles. He graduated from Harvard College in 2020, where he researched how post-industrial cities could redevelop into socially and environmentally just communities. While traveling through Europe as a writer for Let’s Go Travel Guides during one of his summer breaks, he observed how effective bicycle transportation infrastructure could revolutionize a city’s quality of life, and he became committed to helping build a multimodal transportation network back in the United States. 

When he’s not talking about bikes and urban design, he can be found exploring San Diego County’s roads and trails by bicycle or on foot, thinking about urban design.

This year’s Joy Ride is two magical nights. Join us on December 8th at 5pm for our virtual the Golden Gear Awards. Cast your nominations NOW for the Golden Gear Award Recipients by November 21st. 

Come to Balboa Park on December 9th at 5pm to get wheel lights on your bike and then join us for our annual Joy Ride!
