Learn the rules of the road and practice essential ebike riding skills with a trained bike instructor.
The City of Encinitas, in partnership with the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition offers free classes this winter which will teach road rules, where to ride, general bike safety, emergency maneuvers, legal rights and responsibilities and will include a guided road ride to put your new skills into action!
Classes are open to bike riders of all ages. E-bikes welcome! Class content applies to both regular and e-bikes. The 3-hour class is broken up into 3 parts: lecture, skills drills, road riding.
All classes are held at the Encinitas Community Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive, Encinitas
Class sizes are limited so register now! You will need a bicycle for this class. Make sure your bike is in good working order and ready to ride! Some cycling experience is required, this is not a "learn-to-ride" class.
