City Heights Traffic Skills 101 Road Portion

Event duration: 10am-2pm
This is a great opportunity to learn how to ride your bike safely! League-Certified instructors will share their wealth of knowledge and make sure you leave feeling comfortable riding on the road and in traffic.
Course will cover:
– Proper bike and helmet fit
– Your legal rights and responsibilities
– Safety tips for riding in traffic
– Improving your bike handling skills
– Emergency maneuvers
– Using public transit with your bike
Also get hands on training in:
– Flat tire repair secrets
– Adjustments
– Minor repairs
– Quick fixes
Classes are led by League of American Bicyclists Certified Instructors.
Please sign up for a classroom portion and a road portion. The class portion is a pre-requisite to the road portion. Lunch will be provided during the road session and a helmet, free front and tail light will be awarded along with a certificate for all graduates.
Spanish interpretation is available upon request. Please contact us if you need Spanish interpretation.
There are limited bikes available to loan out. Please contact us if you need a loaner bike.
