Essential Bike Maintenance workshop

This ESSENTIAL BIKE MAINTENANCE workshop includes group activities, maintenance lessons and hands-on bike repair time. This event is free but priority is given to LCIs and Smart Cycling Graduates. Space is limited to 12 people.

You’ll work in groups in order to practice skills on a variety of different bicycles. By working together you’ll have an opportunity to teach your peers and learn from them as well.
You will learn:
-Bike lingo and anatomy so that you can communicate effectively in bike shops
-How to do a safety check before you go on a ride
-How to remove wheels and change a flat tire
-Chain maintenance, including how to lubricate your chain and check it for wear
-Bike fitting for your unique body (everything from choosing a comfortable saddle to how to choose a bike that fits you perfectly)
Tools, some parts and snacks are provided.
You can bring your own bike or work on a bike with a partner.
