Kerry’s Ride Home – Bike Touring Weekend

$25Ever thought about bike-touring before? Now is your chance!
Please join us for a bike-touring weekend to honor the late Kerry Kunsman. Kerry was an SDCBC Board Member and traveling via bike from the Canadian Border to the Mexican border when he passed away in September 2014. We aim to honor him by doing what he loved best! Our van-supported ride will allow you to adventure on your bike in a whole new way!

Day 1. Saturday, February 17 2018 – 9:00am
Ride Departs 9:00am from San Juan Capistrano Train Station
To take AMTRAK from San Diego to San Juan Capistrano
(7:04am San Diego, Old Town Transportation Center – 8:25am San Juan Capistrano **Make a bike reservation**)
To take METROLINK from Oceanside to San Juan Capistrano
(8:15am Oceanside – 8:50am San Juan Capistrano **3 bikes per car**)
END:
Day 1.
End at South Carlsbad State Beach
Bathrooms and showers will be available
Tents will not be provided

Day 2. Sunday, February 18 2017 – 8:00am
8:00am – Pannikin Coffee & Tea 510 N.C. HWY 101
If you don’t want to camp, come and join us for day 2 FREE!
We will leave promptly at 8am and you MUST sign a waiver before you ride!
END: 4:00pm

Food Trucks ad $1 off beers for all members
Tour registration is limited to 18 participants
Tour participants must be over 18 years of age
All participants must sign a waiver before riding
RULES:
Each participant will be responsible for:
Their transportation to the start, meals, tent, bicycle, spare tubes, and gear.
There will be a support vehicle for both days of the tour.
Tour participants may leave one small bag in the support vehicle each morning.
Extra points will be given to all participants that carry their own gear.
