Ambassador Program

Empowering Local Advocates to Make a Difference

The Ambassador Program is your opportunity to be the change you want to see in your community. Our ambassadors are the local champions who represent and advocate for safer streets, better biking infrastructure, and more inclusive transportation options in neighborhoods and cities across San Diego County.

What Is the Ambassador Program?

The Ambassador Program empowers passionate individuals to become effective activists in their communities. Ambassadors are trained to lead grassroots initiatives, represent the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition locally, and advocate stronger bike networks throughout our region. Whether you're in North County, East County, South County, or anywhere in between, your voice matters.

Bike Coalition Board Chair Stephan Vance mentors the first class of ambassadors.

What Do Ambassadors Do?

As a Bike Coalition Ambassador, you’ll:

  • Advocate Locally: Work with neighbors, city planners, and local officials to support better biking infrastructure.

  • Engage Your Community: Share the benefits of cycling, host community rides, and foster a culture of active transportation.

  • Be the Voice for Safer Streets: Represent the Coalition at community meetings, events, and on social media.

  • Educate and Inspire: Spread awareness about cycling safety and the environmental and health benefits of biking.
