SESD Transportation Expo – Group Ride & Bike Skills Rodeo

Come out with the whole family to learn about active transportation options!
This free event includes FREE helmets and safety gear, interactive activities for all ages, mobility demos, a skills rodeo, guided family bike ride and more!
Join the Group Ride
- The Bike Coalition will lead a family-friendly group ride that will depart Teralta Park at 9:30 AM (meet at 9 AM) and ride to Southeast San Diego Transportation Expo at Gompers Academy.
- There will be a pit stop at the New Roots Community Farm.
- While at the Expo, riders can visit the booths and participate in activities, giveaways, and demos – including testing their skills on the Bike Coalition’s bicycle skills rodeo course.
- The group ride will then return via a different route to Teralta Park.
- Round trip is roughly 10 miles, five miles to the expo with another five miles on the return ride.
For this group ride you will need:
– A bicycle or ebike
– A helmet ( required)
– A water bottle
– Snacks
– Clothing that you are comfortable riding, walking, and sitting in
– Layers in case it gets cold or windy
Are you interested in helping the Bike Coalition at the Transportation Expo? We are looking for volunteers to help with tabling during the event.
