Ride Smart SoCal is a hands-on bike safety event for new riders, returning riders, and anyone who wants to bike with more confidence. Certified cycling instructors from the San Diego County Bike Coalition will lead the skills course in Parking Lot A at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside.

Expect hands-on bike skills training, e-bike education, safe riding techniques and basic bike handling, all with fun, supportive instruction. Everyone who completes the course is entered to win a brand-new bicycle.

Please bring your own bike and helmet, plus a water bottle if you have one. A limited number of free helmets will be given away on site while supplies last, but we ask that everyone come with their own gear if possible.

Ride Smart SoCal is sponsored by Rady Children's Hospital San Diego and Rady Children's Hospital Orange County, with partners including Safe Kids San Diego, Safe Kids Orange County, Frontwave Arena, CAL-NEV-HA Children's Fund, Mercy Air and the Bike Coalition.
