For one day only, City Heights’ streets will go car-free, so you can skate, scoot, walk, ride, and roll with friends, family, and neighbors.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Streets on the route will be closed to vehicle traffic on 10/26/25: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

There will be no parking along the route on 10/26/25: 6:00 am - 4:00 pm.

What to Expect

  • Miles of Open Streets: No cars. Just people on bikes, wheelchairs, scooters, skates, and feet

  • Neighborhood charm: Music, art, activities, and family-friendly fun along the route

  • Learn & Ride: Quick bike safety checks and tips from Bike Coalition instructors

  • All Ages, All Abilities: Everyone’s welcome. Move at your own pace

Getting There

  • Bike: Ride in and use our free bike parking near each hub.

  • Transit: Multiple bus lines serve City Heights; plan your trip with the Transit app.

  • Drive (if you must): Please park outside the route and walk or roll in. The event route is closed to car traffic.

  • Yes!

  • No! This is a slow paced way to explore University Avenue on foot or bike. You can jump on (and off) your bike wherever, whenever. We encourage folks to enjoy the whole route and explore as they please.

  • Bikes, e-bikes (ride responsibly), skateboards, scooters, wheelchairs, skates—human-scale wheels welcome.

  • Cars on the route, gas-powered bikes/scooters, e-motorcycles, reckless riding.

  • Required for riders under 18; strongly encouraged for all.

  • Leashed and people-friendly, please.

  • Shine preferred; updates posted if weather shifts.
