Buenos días, San Ysidro.
For one day, the streets belong to you. Beyer Boulevard and East San Ysidro Boulevard go car-free, and the whole corridor turns into something San Diego almost never gets to see: a main street built for people instead of traffic.
Skate it. Scoot it. Walk it. Ride it. Roll it. Bring the kids, bring the dog, bring the neighbors. Move at whatever pace feels good and stop wherever looks interesting.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
Streets on the route will be closed to vehicle traffic on 10/18/26: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
There will be no parking along the route.

The Route
About a mile and a half of open street, running between two trolley stations, with hubs at each end:
Hall Avenue hub — at the park, just south of Beyer Boulevard Station
San Ysidro hub — near the San Ysidro Transit Center Follow Beyer Blvd east, then head south down East San Ysidro Blvd. Jump on anywhere. Jump off anywhere. There's no start line and no finish line.
What to Expect
A car-free main street. No engines, no smog. Just people on bikes, wheelchairs, scooters, skates, strollers, and feet. Bike Coalition instructors will be available along the route with tools and tips. A neighborhood in full view. San Ysidro's businesses, food, and street life, at the speed you actually notice things. Everyone, at every pace. No registration, no fee, no experience required.

Getting There
Take the trolley. Seriously.
This year’s CicloSDias is transit friendly. The Blue Line drops you at Beyer Boulevard Station and the San Ysidro Transit Center. Both are steps from the route. Skip the hunt for parking entirely.
Or ride the new Border to Bayshore Bikeway. The Bayshore Bikeway's newest segment connects south San Diego straight to San Ysidro. If you've been meaning to try it, this is the day.
Driving? Park outside the route and walk or roll in. The event streets are closed to cars.
P.S. The San Ysidro Port of Entry is a few minutes from the south end of the route. If you happen to have your passport on you, Tijuana is right there if you’d like to make it a bi-national adventure.

No! This is a slow paced way to explore University Avenue on foot or bike. You can jump on (and off) your bike wherever, whenever. We encourage folks to enjoy the whole route and explore as they please.
