What is CicloSDias?
CicloSDias is inspired by open streets projects all over the world. Open Street events temporarily close streets to automobiles so that people may use them for healthy and fun physical activities like walking, jogging, biking and even dancing. Today, there are more than 90 Open Streets initiatives in the United States and Canada.
CicloSDias welcomes everyone in San Diego to walk, ride, stroll and enjoy our streets. Approximately 3 miles of city streets will be opened to families, pedestrians, cyclists, joggers, skateboarders, and anyone else interested in using this public space in a new way. The event will include a “Hub” in 3 different spots along the route. These Hubs will feature CicloSDias merchandise, showcase event sponsors and host a variety of fun activities. Check out the route map to see where each Hub is located.
Reclaim public streets by walking, biking, rolling and running. Explore local businesses and meet your neighbors.
Build demand for streets that serve all people on foot or on wheels (bikes, skateboards, strollers, etc.)
Promote a healthy lifestyle and physical activity through outdoor, people-powered amusement.
Celebrate the diverse character and community spirit of San Diego neighborhoods.
CicloSDias could not happen without volunteer support. Every single volunteer plays an important role in making it an amazing car-free, open-streets celebration.
Volunteer today and be part of this amazing event in San Diego. Be sure to include what role you’d like to play and what shift time you prefer. Grab your friends and sign up to volunteer as a team!

Countdown to CicloSDias 2023
Check back periodically for more information on the upcoming CicloSDias event!
It was FUN! We had hours of full access to skate in our neighborhood streets, including the main and mostly importantly WIDE street of Adams Ave. The pavement was mostly smooth so roller skating on it felt GREAT! I also like that the event builds community. You enjoy other folks walking or riding as well as musicians, community organizers, and local businesses.
