South Bay Group Bike Ride
South Bay Group Bike Ride
Join us for a free, family-friendly group bike ride in the South Bay! This guided six-mile ride travels from Bikeway Village in Imperial Beach to Chula Vista Bayfront Park and back, using comfortable bikeways and shared paths.
The ride will be led by Mr. Kevin, a certified instructor with the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, and is open to riders of all ages and abilities. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bike and helmet and arrive early for a free bike check before the ride begins. E-bike rentals are available nearby.
This ride is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, connect with your community, and experience safe, fun biking in the South Bay.

Join to learn more about their new book, Life After Cars.
BikeSD and the Bike Coalition are bringing Sarah Goodyear & Doug Gordon, the hosts of The War on Cars podcast, to San Diego! Join us to celebrate the publication of their new book, Life After Cars: Freeing Ourselves from the Tyranny of the Automobile.
Sarah and Doug will discuss their impressions of San Diego, the state of urbanism and bike advocacy, and inspiration from their book for local advocates. Join us before the show for an open reception with the speakers. Cocktails, beer, and wine will be available to purchase for those 21+, along with non-alcoholic options and snacks.
Those who purchase a bundled entry + book ticket will receive their copy of Life After Cars at the venue. Additional copies of Life After Cars will be available for purchase at the event.

What: A countywide day of remembrance and action to honor neighbors killed in traffic crashes and to call for safer streets
Plan: Volunteers will place 147 memorial signs at crash sites from 2023 and 2024. Families, advocates, and decision makers will participate
