City Heights Traffic Skills 101

Event Duration: 6pm-9pm

This is a great opportunity to learn how to ride your bike safely! League-Certified instructors will share their wealth of knowledge and make sure you leave feeling comfortable riding on the road and in traffic.

***This class is divided into two essential portions:  A Classroom Session and a corresponding Road Session.
This gives participants the chance to take the information and skills learned in the classroom and be able to practice on the road with instructors!

This Classroom Session 1 will cover: your legal rights and responsibilities, guidelines for safely riding in traffic, how to negotiate all San Diego County roads and intersections, emergency manuevers, using public transit as a cyclist.

The Road Session 2 will cover: proper bike and helmet fit, flat tire repair secrets, adjustments, minor repair, quick fixes, bicycle handling skills and emergency maneuvers, driving your bicycle safely and confidently in traffic.

This League of American Bicyclists certified class is led by League of American Bicyclists Cycling Instructors.

Food will be provided and bring your bike so that you can learn how to fix a flat tire!
