Smart Cycling Session II – Mira Mesa

The Smart Cycling Road Session II is for students who have completed the prerequisite Classroom Session I.

The Smart Cycling Road Session is for students who have completed the Classroom Session. It includes (1) parking lot drills where you will increase your bike handling skills and learn some emergency maneuvers to avoid motor vehicle collisions and (2) riding on a variety of local streets and bike paths while practicing proper lane positioning and performing safe and legal turning maneuvers.  League Certified Instructors have extensive commuting, touring, group and club riding experience.  All levels of experience will benefit from this program. The road session is free.

There is no listed age limit for participating in this class designed for adults, but for youth under 16, we require that a parent or guardian also register and complete the class. We will be riding on roads and in areas without bike lanes, so children must be mature, strong riders and good listeners.

Note: Your non-refundable $25 fee may be transferred to a future session if we are notified no later than 24 hrs prior to the class. If you need financial assistance to cover the fee for this class, please send a request to postmaster@sdbikecoalition.org.
