Joy Ride 2022 is a two-day event, starting with our virtual Golden Gear Awards.
Join us as we celebrate and thank all the people who have played a vital role in our work this year! The Golden Gear recipients are people and organizations who have gone above and beyond to help make our region more bike friendly in 2022.
Awards being presented this year include:
- Advocate of the Year – Laura Keenan
- Elected Official of the Year – Councilmember Raul Campillo
- Community Partner of the Year – Downtown San Diego Partnership
- Volunteer of the Year – Alex Flores
- Educator of the Year – Ron Guitard
- Bike Industry Award – BCycle Encinitas
- Bike-Friendly Business – Rouleur Brewing
- Bike Club of the Year – The Awarewolfs
- Platinum Pedal – Andrew Bowen, KPBS
