Love to Ride – Bike Month Challenge

May 5, 2020 - May 31, 2020

Let’s Ride!

The San Diego County Bicycle Coalition is partnering with Love to Ride to kick off the National Bike Challenge 2020, which runs May through September.

The May Bike Month challenges will take place in lieu of the ride activities that normally occur during Bike Month.  From May 5th to May 30th there will be weekly challenges.

Why are we doing this?  While many of us across the country are in ‘lockdown’ at this time, going out for a bike ride is a great way to get some exercise, enjoy some fresh air and feel connected with the world around us.  At the same time, you can stay connected with your friends and co-workers through the challenge as you encourage and support each other.

Riders can join groups or teams, but because of physical distancing requirements, rides are completed as solo challenge rides.

All month long: Register. RIDE. & Win. $1000

May 3rd:  Gordy Shields Memorial Ride challenge.

May 5th:  Bike Month launch

May 5th – 9th:  Cinco de Mayo challenge

May 10th: Mother’s Day Ride challenge

May 11th-17th: New Rider Week challenge

May 18th – 24th: Family Week challenge

May 25th – 29th: Women/Trans/Femme Week challenge

Month Long Challenge: Encourage 10 people to join for your chance to win a prize
